Greetings
Good evening, friends,
On behalf of the Regina Multicultural Council, it is my great honour to welcome you to Mosaic, one of Regina’s most cherished traditions.
Mosaic is more than a festival. It is a celebration of who we are as a community. It reflects the many cultures, histories, and traditions that have come together to shape Regina into the vibrant and inclusive city we know today. When I came to Canada, and to Regina, many years ago, I experienced firsthand the importance of belonging. Mosaic represents that sense of belonging. It is a place where cultures are shared with pride, where stories are told through music, dance, and food, and where friendships are built across communities.
Each pavilion you visit represents countless hours of dedication from volunteers who are passionate about sharing their heritage. I encourage you to take the time to explore, ask questions, try something new, and most importantly, connect with one another.
In today’s world, events like Mosaic matter more than ever. They remind us that our diversity is not something that divides us, but something that strengthens us. It is through understanding and respect that we build a stronger, safer, and more united community.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our volunteers, cultural groups, sponsors, and partners who make this festival possible year after year. Your commitment is what brings Mosaic to life. To everyone attending, whether this is your first visit or a long-standing tradition, welcome. I hope you enjoy the experience and leave with a deeper appreciation of the cultures that make Regina so special.
Thank you, and enjoy Mosaic.
Warm regards,
John Findura
